PhD Candidate Keani Willebrand Presents at Stanford Joint Hydro Seminar

On February 28, 2025, Keani Willebrand, a PhD Candidate in the Fletcher Lab, presented her research at the Joint Hydro Seminar at Stanford University. Held in the Geo Corner (Bldg 320), Room 220, this weekly, invitation-only seminar brings together researchers in the freshwater and hydrologic sciences community for informal, constructive discussions of work in progress.

Keani’s talk, titled "Co-adapting Drought Indicators and Management Actions in Glacier-fed River Basins," explored innovative approaches to drought management in regions where hydrologic dynamics and drought indicators are sensitive to climate change. Her presentation sparked thoughtful discussion and feedback, true to the spirit of the seminar, which prioritizes supportive engagement from students and postdocs before faculty weigh in.

Organized by Professor Steven Gorelick and offered for credit as ESS 322B: Seminar in Hydrology, the Joint Hydro Seminar continues to be one of the most dynamic venues for sharing and refining water-focused research at Stanford. We are already looking forward to next year’s series!
