Fletcher and WE3 Labs Awarded Stanford Sustainability Accelerator Grant for PLANWater Development

We're pleased to announce that the Fletcher and WE3 lab in collaboration have been awarded the Stanford Sustainability Accelerator grant in the Water focus area. This grant funds the development and commercialization of the PLANWater (PLanning Adaptive Non-traditional Water) tool. PLANWater was developed by Marta Zaniolo to identify the optimal water infrastructure planning strategy for the next 100 years under deep uncertainty caused by climate change. This grant will be funding student Gina Kittleson to add new features to PLANWater to model water curtailment orders in the city of Santa Barbara, CA, to begin a second case-study for PLANWater in the county of San Luis Obispo, CA, and to investigate the market potential of PLANWater
