The Fletcher Lab attended the first installment of the virtual Human-Water-Systems Monthly Seminar Series! This monthly research seminar series is focused on human-water systems which are complex and multi-disciplinary in scope. Fletcher Lab members enjoyed attending the first monthly seminar series’ research presentations and networking event and are looking forward to attending future sessions.
Dr. Fletcher is serving on the leadership committee and presented on adaptive planning approaches under different hydrological, technical, and social conditions and their implications to water reliability, cost, and equity during the first installment on the seminar series focused on the theme of “Integrating water systems with society.” Dr. Fletcher shared current and emerging research directions for the Fletcher Lab which include the interactions of different forms of flexible water infrastructure, rates of learning under different climate change scenarios to support adaptive water infrastructure planning, and decentralized water planning approaches to enhance drought resilience.
