Prof. Fletcher’s Paper Selected as JWRPM Editor’s Choice
Congratulations to Dr. Sarah Fletcher on the selection of her recently co-authored forum paper, Equity in Water Resources Planning: A Path Forward for Decision Support Modelers, as July’s Editor’s Choice paper in the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management (JWRPM)! For each issue of the journal, the Chief Editor selects a paper to be featured on the journal homepage in the ASCE Library.
In this month’s selected Editor’s Choice paper, Dr. Fletcher and her co-authors argue that to support more equitable outcomes in water systems, it imperative that equity is integrated in the decision-making process. To support this goal, the article provides actionable recommendations for researchers and practitioners in the water resources systems decision support modeling community to further address equity. These recommendations can help guide the adaptation of existing modeling practices in water resources systems to be more equitable.
