Fletcher Lab Members Celebrate Stanford's 2022 Commencement!

Congratulations to Fletcher Lab members Adam Nayak, Jennifer Skerker, and Keani Willebrand on their graduation from Stanford University! The Spring 2022 Commencement Ceremony marked the first Stanford commencement with graduates from the Fletcher Lab!

Stanford’s 131st Commencement Ceremony was held on the morning of June 12th in Stanford Stadium with keynote speaker Reed Hastings, the co-founder and co-CEO of Netflix. The Stanford Civil and Environmental Engineering Commencement Ceremony was later held in the afternoon at Memorial Auditorium.

Fletcher Lab undergraduate Adam Nayak graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a minor in comparative studies in race and ethnicity. Adam plans to complete an additional degree in management science and engineering in the upcoming academic year at Stanford University as a co-term student and has long-term ambitions to pursue a PhD with a focus on sustainability and social impact. Adam was additionally recognized with the 2022 J.E. Wallace Sterling Award, which recognizes an exceptional graduating senior whose leadership and service have made an impact on the Stanford community!

Fletcher lab PhD students Jennifer Skerker and Keani Willebrand received their master’s degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering en route to their continuation in the Civil and Environmental Engineering PhD Program at Stanford University advised under Dr. Sarah Fletcher!
